About
You are hiring the person who does the work
Meraky Consulting is me. There is no account manager between us, no junior the work gets passed to after you sign, and nobody who has to be briefed on what you said last week. For the kind of work I do, that is the feature.
How I work
Specify first, then build fast
I spend a disproportionate amount of the engagement on the specification: the data model, the architecture, and what it means for the thing to be correct. That is where projects are actually won or lost, and it is the part that cannot be delegated to a machine.
Then I build by directing AI coding agents against that specification, which is why a one-person firm can deliver systems at a scale that used to need a team. The work is directing, specifying, reviewing and verifying — not typing every line, and not prompting either.
Because the code arrives fast, it has to be checked hard. Static analysis and tests run in CI on every change and gate the deploy. That is not a process I follow because it sounds rigorous; it is the only thing that makes the delivery method defensible.
Why one person
The advantages are structural
- Nothing is lost in translation
- The person who hears the requirement is the person who models the data and writes the acceptance criteria.
- The price reflects the method
- An agency prices a team. I price the outcome, and the work is fixed-price rather than billed by the day.
- You are not locked in
- Discovery is yours to take elsewhere, and bespoke systems transfer with the repository, documentation and pipeline on final payment.
Where I am
Netherlands, working across the EU
Being based in Europe is not a detail on this kind of work. GDPR, ePrivacy and the AI Act are design inputs for every system on this site, and I would rather build for that environment from the start than adapt something to it afterwards.
I work in English and Dutch. Most engagements run remotely, and I will come to you when it is the right way to run a discovery.
Start with a call
Twenty minutes to work out whether there is something here worth building. If there is not, I will tell you.
